MaintenanceGround

The Husqvarna BLi200 battery repair kit is a set of service parts for the 36V BLi200 pack, meant for fixing worn or broken outer parts rather than the cells. It is a cheap way to keep a pack in rotation when the housing or latch takes a beating on the truck.

What the kit is for

Battery packs on a tree crew live a hard life. They ride loose in the truck box, get dropped from the bucket, and get jammed into a saw with sawdust packed into the slot. The plastic parts usually give up long before the cells do, and a cracked housing or sticky latch is enough to pull a good pack out of service.

This kit gives you the Husqvarna service parts to put a BLi200 back together. Check the parts list against your damage before you order, because it is meant for the outer pack, not for replacing cells or electronics. See the rest of our battery-powered equipment if the pack is past saving.

It also pays to keep a spare pack charged and a small set of service parts in the truck. A battery that goes down mid-climb on a top-handle saw costs more in lost time than the kit costs.

When to repair and when to replace

Repair makes sense when the pack still charges normally, holds a full working day, and shows no swelling, heat, or burnt smell. If any of those warning signs show up, stop using the pack and replace it. Never open the cell compartment or try to bypass the battery electronics.

Keep packs clean and dry, store them at a partial charge over the off-season, and charge them only on a Husqvarna charger. A little care stretches the life of an expensive battery.
