A preassembled pulley haul kit for rescue and mechanical advantage.
The Petzl JAG System is a ready-to-use haul kit that combines pulleys and rope to give you mechanical advantage for lifting and moving loads. Tree crews keep one for aerial rescue and for tensioning or hauling jobs.
When a climber is hurt or stuck in the tree, the ground crew needs to move fast. A preassembled haul kit like the JAG System means there is no building a pulley system from loose parts under stress. You clip it in and it is ready to pull.
The same kit earns its spot on regular jobs, too, for tensioning a line, pulling a lead over or lifting a piece that is too heavy to handle by hand. Petzl offers it in several lengths, so pick the reach that matches your setups.
Pair the kit with a plan. Talk through who does what in a rescue before a job starts, where the kit lives on the truck and how it will be rigged for the tree you are working. A kit that sits in a bag nobody has opened is not much help when the time comes.
Aerial rescue and mechanical advantage systems multiply forces, so they belong in trained hands. Practice rescues regularly so everyone on the crew knows the kit before they need it. Follow Petzl's instructions and ANSI Z133 for rescue planning.
Inspect pulleys, connectors and rope before each use and after any heavy load. Retire parts that are worn, cracked or damaged. More rescue gear is in our first aid and rescue section.

It is a multi-pulley haul kit. Check Petzl's instructions for the ratio of the version you choose.
Use it within Petzl's ratings and instructions. It is built for hauling and rescue, not for catching dynamic rigging loads.
