A lightweight 3/8" x .050" Husqvarna bar that takes weight off the front of the saw.
A lightweight chainsaw bar takes weight off the front of the saw, which makes a real difference over a long day of felling and bucking. These Husqvarna light bars run 3/8-inch pitch chain at .050 gauge and suit mid to large saws.
On a big saw with a long bar, most of the fatigue comes from holding weight out in front of you. A lighter bar moves the balance back toward the powerhead, so the saw feels quicker and is easier to hold level through a long bucking cut.
Lightweight bars give up some stiffness compared with solid bars, so they are best for felling and bucking rather than heavy prying or boring abuse.
That lighter feel also helps on storm work and firewood days, when you are making hundreds of cuts.
It also suits climbers bringing a larger saw aloft for a big removal cut.
Match the bar to your saw's mount and to the chain: 3/8-inch pitch, .050 gauge and the right drive link count for the bar length. Check the listing for mount and length before ordering.
Flip the bar each time you sharpen the chain, clean the groove and oil holes, grease the nose sprocket if it has a grease port, and dress the rails when they burr. Keep the chain sharp and tensioned. See more chainsaw bars.
Check rail height and the nose regularly. A lightweight chainsaw bar with spread or uneven rails will not keep the chain running straight, and a worn bar wears new chains quickly.

Check the mount type and length in the listing against your saw model, and use 3/8" pitch, .050" gauge chain.
They are strong for normal cutting but less stiff. For the hardest use, many cutters still prefer solid bars.
