DMM's Kinisi arborist saddle, built for climbers who spend all day in the tree.
The DMM Kinisi Max is an arborist saddle from the Kinisi line, designed for climbers who need to move freely and stay comfortable through a full day aloft. The Kinisi is built around a rope bridge, wide support and plenty of attachment points for saws and gear.
A saddle is the one piece of gear you are attached to all day, so comfort and freedom of movement are not luxuries. The DMM Kinisi Max saddle is built for climbers who spend hours in work position, with support where you hang and a bridge that lets you turn and reach without fighting the harness.
Attachment points for a top-handle saw, hand saw, and friction-saver or rigging gear let you set the saddle up the way you climb. Spend time adjusting it at ground level before your first climb.
The Kinisi has built a following among climbers who move a lot in the canopy, and the Max version suits those who want the platform with the features DMM put on it.
Fit is personal. Check the size range against your waist and leg measurements, and hang in it before you commit to a size. The harness should feel snug with layers on, and the bridge should sit where you can reach and tend it easily.
Inspect before each use: webbing, stitching, buckles, attachment points and especially the bridge, which is a wear item and must be replaced per DMM's instructions. Life-support gear must meet the applicable standard, be used per ANSI Z133 and the manufacturer instructions, and be used only by trained climbers. Compare more saddles in European saddles.
Hang-test new adjustments low to the ground. A saddle that feels fine standing can pinch or ride up once you are in work position.
