Sewn 10 mm Beeline polyester hitch cord for MRS and SRS hitches.
This 10mm Beeline eye-to-eye prusik is Yale's polyester hitch cord with sewn eyes on both ends, ready to tie into a Distel or VT hitch. It is a popular choice for climbers on 11 to 13 mm lines.
Beeline is a firm polyester hitch cord that holds its shape, so a hitch you dress today behaves the same tomorrow. Polyester also handles heat better than nylon, which matters when you descend steadily and the hitch warms up.
Sewn eyes make the hitch shorter and tidier than tied ends, leaving more room between hitch and pulley.
Many climbers pair a 10 mm hitch cord with 11 to 13 mm climbing lines because the slightly smaller cord grips well without being hard to tend. The sewn eyes are consistent, so when you replace the cord the new hitch behaves like the old one with little adjustment.
Always test a new hitch on your climbing rope low to the ground. The right number of wraps depends on your rope diameter and cover. Check that the climbing rope is in the range Yale recommends.
Inspect before every climb and replace when glazed, stiff, fuzzed through or when the stitching shows wear. Use per ANSI Z133 and Yale's instructions. See all eye-and-eye prusiks.
Keep a spare in the gear bag. A worn hitch cord can be swapped at the base of the tree in a few minutes, and it costs far less than the climbing rope it protects from heat and wear.

Common choices are the Distel and VT. Use the hitch you are trained on and test before climbing.
