A 6-liter DMM bag that clips to your saddle to carry small kit in the tree.
The DMM 6L tool bag is a small pouch that hangs from your saddle so small items ride with you in the tree. It is handy for spare hitch cord, a phone, a small first aid kit, or a water bottle on a long climb.
Gear loops are for hardware. Everything else, such as a spare split tail, a roll of flagging tape, a file, a snack, or a phone, needs somewhere to live that will not snag on branches or fall out mid-climb. A small saddle bag like the DMM 6-liter tool bag keeps those items closed in and within reach.
Hang it where it will not interfere with your bridge, lanyard, or saw. Most climbers put it toward the back of the saddle. Browse other options in our gear storage section.
Keep it light. A small bag is for small things, and heavy items swinging from your saddle pull on your hips and get in the way when you reposition. A compact first aid kit and a spare hitch cord are good choices for every climb.
Do not hang life-support connections from the bag or its attachment point. Clip it only to a gear loop or accessory point, and follow your saddle maker's instructions about what each attachment is rated for.
Zip or close the bag before you move around the tree. An open pouch dumps its contents the first time you lean back or swing, and anything that falls from the canopy is a hazard to the ground crew.
