ClimbingSafetyPro grade

The Yale R.I.N.G. lanyard with triple locking snap is a rope positioning lanyard from Yale Cordage with a snap termination that clips flat into a saddle side D-ring. Add your preferred adjuster, or use it to replace a worn lanyard on your existing setup.

Lanyard only, your adjuster

Some climbers already own a mechanical adjuster they trust and only need fresh rope. This lanyard gives you the rope and a snap termination, so you can reuse your adjuster and keep the setup you know. The triple-locking snap needs several deliberate actions to open.

If you would rather buy everything in one go, see the kit version. For more lanyard ropes, browse our rope lanyards.

Check the length before ordering. A longer lanyard wraps bigger stems and gives more room to adjust; a shorter one is lighter and tidier on small trees. Many climbers carry two lanyards of different lengths so they always have the right one for the job.

Inspection and use

Make sure your adjuster is approved for this rope and set it up only as the manufacturers instruct. Lanyards are life-support gear: they must meet the applicable standard, be used within ANSI Z133 and be used by trained climbers.

Check the rope, splice and snap before each climb, and confirm the gate closes and locks by itself. Retire the lanyard after a cut, heat damage or a shock load, and keep the saw clear of it. Store the lanyard clean, dry and out of the sun, and keep it away from fuel, bar oil and battery acid in the truck.
