Tachyon Pink Replacement Lanyard

The Tachyon pink replacement lanyard is a positioning lanyard made from Teufelberger tachyon rope in a bright pink colorway. Swap it in when your old lanyard is worn and reuse your adjuster and connectors if they still pass inspection.

A visible lanyard

A bright lanyard is easy to see against bark and foliage, which helps you and the ground crew track what is a life-support line and what is rigging rope. Pink stands out from the green, orange and blue lines common on a job.

Tachyon itself is a well-liked arborist rope: firm, round, good with hitches and smooth in mechanical adjusters. Browse the rest of our rope lanyards if you want to compare ropes.

If you already climb on a pink tachyon line, a matching lanyard keeps your kit consistent. Some crews give each climber a color so it is always clear whose gear is whose. Check the listing for length and terminations, and think about whether your current length actually suits the trees you climb.

Fit and care

Check your adjuster is approved for tachyon and that the terminations suit your connectors. Set it up as the manufacturers instruct.

Inspect before every climb for cuts, glazing, stiff spots and splice damage. Wash it gently if it gets sappy or gritty, and store it dry and out of the sun. Lanyards are life-support gear: they must meet the applicable standard, be used within ANSI Z133 and be used by trained climbers. Retire it after any cut or shock load.
