ClimbingSafetyPro grade

The ART Positioner lanyard add-on kit supplies the lanyard side of the system for climbers who already own an ART Positioner adjuster. It lets you build or replace the lanyard without buying the device again.

Who needs the add-on kit

The ART Positioner is a mechanical lanyard adjuster that lets you shorten and lengthen the lanyard with one hand, even under load. The device lasts much longer than the rope running through it. When the lanyard wears out, this kit lets you put fresh rope on the Positioner you already own.

It also suits climbers who want a second lanyard length for the same device. Compare all our rope lanyards if you are not sure which rope suits your adjuster.

Order the length that suits the stems you climb most. A longer lanyard wraps bigger trunks but adds weight and slack to manage. Check the listing for the exact contents of the add-on kit, including terminations and any connectors, so you know what you are building with.

Setup and inspection

Use only rope and components ART approves for the Positioner, and set the system up exactly as the instructions show. Lanyards are life-support gear that must meet the applicable standard, be used within ANSI Z133 and be used by trained climbers.

Before every climb, check the rope for cuts, glazing and core damage, the terminations, and the Positioner's cam and springs. Keep the saw clear of the lanyard, and retire the rope after any cut or shock load.
