ISC Squirrel Tether Kit

The ISC Squirrel tether kit is a replacement tether for ISC's SRS setup, used to connect the device into the climbing system. Tethers are a wear part, and keeping a spare means a worn one does not end your climbing day.

What the tether does

In an SRS setup, the tether links the device to the rest of the system at the right spacing so the hitch and device work together as designed. It sees constant flexing and abrasion, and it is often the first part to show wear.

Replacing the tether with the maker's own kit keeps the geometry and strength the way ISC intended.

Keeping a spare tether in the kit bag is cheap insurance. A tether can wear through on rough bark or get nicked by a saw, and having a replacement at the truck means the climber can swap it and keep working instead of shutting the climb down for the day.

Fit and inspect

Install it exactly as ISC's instructions show, and confirm the kit is listed for your device before you buy. Do not substitute homemade tethers or cord. Have a competent person check the setup, and test it low before you climb.
