SafetyGround

The Kask Zenith visor carrier is the frame that holds a mesh or clear screen on a Zenith helmet. It lets a ground worker or climber add face protection for saw work and swing it up out of the way between cuts.

What the visor carrier does

The carrier is the frame that holds the screen and pivots on the helmet. On the Zenith it lets you add a mesh screen for chainsaw and chipper work, or a clear one when you want to keep fine debris and spray off your face.

If your current carrier is cracked or will not hold its position, replacing it is a simple way to get the helmet back to full use. It also lets you convert a bare Zenith into a saw helmet. Look through our eye protection section for screens and glasses to go with it.

Ground crews on the Zenith often run a mesh screen most of the day and swap to clear for stump grinding, where fine debris is constant. Having a spare carrier set up with the second screen makes that swap quick, rather than fiddling with screens in the field.

Setup and care

Confirm the carrier and screen are listed for your Zenith version before you buy, and install them following Kask's instructions. Do not drill or modify the shell.

Clean the screen and carrier after sappy or dusty days and check the pivots for play. A mesh screen does not stop all fine dust, so pair it with safety glasses when cutting dry wood.

Store the helmet with the visor raised so the screen does not get pressed against other gear in the truck.
