With a tensile strength of 6000 lbs Samson Velocity weighs 5.5lbs per 100ft, making it the lightest climbing line in the 7/16" (11 mm) size, Velocity is good for footlocking, has excellent knot holding ability, and works well with hardware.

Available with a tight eye splice. Samson does not recommend having two splices on this rope due to milking issues.
