A rope-and-block pulling system with 75 ft of line, rigged and ready for the truck.
This fiddle block set comes reeved with 75 ft of rope, giving a crew a ready mechanical advantage system for pulling, tensioning and lifting. Hook one block to an anchor and the other to the load, and you multiply what the ground crew can pull.
A fiddle block set is the go-to when you need a steady, controlled pull: leaning a tree into the lay, tensioning a speedline, pulling a hung top free, or snugging a rigging line before a cut. Because the rope is already reeved through the blocks, setup is fast, and the system goes back in its bag at the end of the day.
The 75 ft of rope sets how far the blocks can open. A shorter set is handy for tensioning and short pulls close to the anchor. See the rest of our mechanical advantage gear for other ratios and sizes.
Anchor to something stronger than the pull, use slings rated for the load, and keep the crew out of the line of the rope in case anything lets go. Pull steadily rather than in jerks, and remember that a mechanical advantage system can overload a weak anchor or rigging point without anyone feeling it.
Inspect the blocks for cracked sheaves, worn axles and bent side plates, and the rope for cuts and glazing. Rigging gear is for moving wood, not for life support. Match every component to the load with a working margin, follow the manufacturer's ratings and ANSI Z133, and make sure the crew is trained in rigging before relying on it. Note when each piece went into service, so worn gear gets retired on time instead of living on the truck for years.

A block with two sheaves of different sizes, one above the other. A pair of them reeved together gives a compact pulley system for pulling and tensioning.
It depends on how far apart the anchor and load are. The blocks can only open as far as the rope allows, so measure your typical setup before choosing a length.
