Adjustable DMM lanyard for setting your position at height.
The DMM Nomad lanyard is an adjustable lanyard that lets you shorten or extend your tether at the harness to get into the right working position. It is built for climbers and work-at-height crews who adjust their reach all day.
Positioning is half the work at height. With a fixed lanyard you either reach too far or hang too close. The Nomad's adjuster lets you set the distance that keeps your body balanced and your hands free for the saw or the rigging.
Small changes as you move around a stem or structure save energy and keep you working in a stable stance.
An adjustable lanyard also makes it easier to pair with your main climbing system, since you can set it to share load with your climbing line in a comfortable working position.
Attach the lanyard only to the harness points DMM specifies and use approved locking connectors. Practice adjustment low to the ground. Inspect the rope, sewing, adjuster, and connectors before every use and retire anything cut, glazed, or contaminated.
Store it clean, dry, and out of direct sun, away from fuel and bar oil, and keep a record of its age and inspections the way you would for any life-support item. Retire it after a fall or any damage.
Life-support gear must meet the applicable standard (ANSI Z133 and the manufacturer's instructions), be inspected before every use, and be used only by trained climbers. Compare other lanyard kits.
