This DMM Nomad lanyard listing covers the ZUU7 version, an adjustable lanyard that lets you change your tether length at the harness. Adjustable length means you can sit back into a position or snug up close to the work without re-rigging.

What an adjustable lanyard does

A fixed lanyard is the right length only some of the time. With an adjustable lanyard like the Nomad, you can let out length to reach and shorten it to lean back and work with both hands. Fine adjustments add up to less fatigue over a long day.

The ZUU7 code identifies a specific Nomad configuration. Compare it with DMM's current product codes to confirm length and connector options before ordering.

If you already run a Nomad, keep track of which version you own so replacement parts and accessories match.

Using it safely

Follow DMM's instructions for attachment points, connector orientation, and intended use. Learn how the adjuster behaves under load low to the ground before relying on it at height, and keep the lanyard away from saw cuts and sharp edges.

Inspect the adjuster, rope, and terminations before every climb. Retire the lanyard if the sheath is cut, the core is exposed, or the adjuster shows grooves, cracks, or sticky movement. Store it clean, dry, and out of the sun and away from fuel and bar oil.

Life-support gear must meet the applicable standard (ANSI Z133 and the manufacturer's instructions), be inspected before every use, and be used only by trained climbers. See more lanyard kits.
