Two-leg sewn lanyard with a swivel for continuous connection.
The CAMP Gyro Lanyard Twin is a two-leg sewn lanyard with a swivel connection that keeps both legs from twisting together. Two legs let you clip the next anchor before you unclip the last, so you stay connected while moving.
Twin lanyards are great until the legs wind around each other. The Gyro's swivel lets the system rotate as you move, so the legs hang separately and each one is ready to clip.
On a tree or structure where you pass limbs, crotches, or anchor points, the second leg lets you clip ahead before releasing behind you.
It suits climbers and work-at-height crews who spend time moving between anchors, and it pairs well with a flipline or adjustable lanyard for positioning at the work.
Fit locking connectors approved by the manufacturer on each leg, and attach the lanyard to the harness point its instructions specify. Unused legs should be stowed where the manufacturer recommends, not clipped to a random gear loop.
Inspect both legs, the sewing, and the swivel before every use. Retire the lanyard after a fall or any sign of damage, and keep a record of its age and inspections. A twisted or snagged leg should be cleared before it is relied on.
Life-support gear must meet the applicable standard (ANSI Z133 and the manufacturer's instructions), be inspected before every use, and be used only by trained climbers. Compare more lanyard kits.
