CAMP Gyro Lanyard Single

The CAMP Gyro Lanyard Single is a single-leg sewn lanyard built around a swivel connection that lets it rotate instead of twisting as you move. It suits climbers and rope access workers who want a short, tidy tether that hangs clean from the harness.

Why a swivel helps

A sewn lanyard that is clipped and unclipped all day tends to twist up, especially as you turn around a stem or move between anchors. The Gyro design puts a swivel in the system so the lanyard can rotate freely and lie flat.

That keeps the connector oriented correctly and makes clipping faster when you are reaching for an anchor.

Because the swivel lets the lanyard lie flat, it is easier to inspect too. Twisted webbing hides cuts and abrasion that you would otherwise see at a glance.

The single-leg version is a good choice for climbers who already carry a flipline or adjustable lanyard for positioning and want a simple, short tether for clipping in at a stance.

Choosing and using it

A single-leg lanyard is simple and light. If you need to stay connected while passing anchors, look at the twin version. Use only locking connectors that the manufacturer approves and that suit your harness attachment point, and check the length suits your work.

Store it clean and dry, out of direct sun, away from fuel and bar oil, and log its age and inspections the way you would any other life-support item.
