A comfort-focused Buckingham saddle for climbers who log long hours aloft.
The Buckingham Ergovation is a climbing saddle built around comfort and support for climbers who spend most of the day aloft. Its ergonomic design spreads load across the waist and legs to reduce fatigue on long hangs.
Hanging in a saddle for hours is hard on the hips and legs. The Ergovation is Buckingham's answer for climbers who want a saddle that stays comfortable from the first climb to the last. Load is spread so pressure points are reduced, and the bridge lets your system move as you turn.
It suits full-time climbers and anyone who has been fighting hip pinch or numb legs in an older saddle. See add-ons in saddle accessories.
Comfort is not a luxury for full-time climbers. When your hips and legs are not fighting the saddle, you stay sharper and work more efficiently later in the day, which is when many mistakes happen.
Keep the bridge and other wear parts on your inspection list, and replace them on schedule.
Get the size right and hang test before you climb. Check the bridge, webbing, stitching and hardware before every climb.
A saddle is life-support equipment: buy one that meets the applicable standard, follow the manufacturer's instructions and ANSI Z133, inspect it before every climb and retire it when wear reaches the maker's limits. Get trained before you climb on any new system.
Spend some time adjusting the fit. Small changes to leg loop height and waist belt position can make a big difference in how the saddle feels during long hangs.
