Yale Scandere 11.7mm Climbing Rope

Why low stretch

On SRS, every inch of stretch is effort you spend before you go up. A low-stretch line like Scandere moves you up the tree with each step, and it also gives a firm feel when you work positioned in the canopy. Many climbers run it for both SRS and MRS.

The yellow and gray color pattern makes it easy to spot in the canopy and tell apart from other ropes on the job, which helps when more than one climber is in the tree. Many climbers also like that a firm, round rope runs predictably through hitches and devices over the life of the line.

Care and inspection

Climbing rope is life support. Use it to Yale's instructions and ANSI Z133, inspect it before every climb, and retire it if you find cuts, core damage, glazing or flat spots. Keep it bagged and away from saw chain, fuel and battery acid.
