Pulley designed to make adjusting a climbing lanyard smoother.
The R-Easy is a lanyard adjusting pulley designed to help a climbing lanyard run smoothly as you take in or let out length. It works where a hitch or adjuster sits on your lanyard, so tending slack takes less effort.
Lanyard adjustment happens dozens of times on a climb. Without a pulley, rope drags against a carabiner and the hitch has to be pushed by hand. A dedicated pulley lets the tail run more freely so the lanyard self-tends as you shorten it, and it spreads wear away from the carabiner.
That makes repositioning around a stem or limb quicker and less tiring.
Climbers who spend long days repositioning in big canopies often find a pulley-tended lanyard saves noticeable effort over the course of a climb.
Set the pulley up exactly as the manufacturer's instructions show, with the specified rope diameters and connectors, and test the system near the ground before going aloft. Check the sheave turns freely and the side plates show no cracks or grooves.
We list this item as a pre-order product; check availability and current specifications before you buy. Store it clean and dry, keep it away from grit, and retire it after a significant fall or any visible damage.
Life-support gear must meet the applicable standard (ANSI Z133 and the manufacturer's instructions), be inspected before every use, and be used only by trained climbers. Browse more micro pulleys.

Yes. The pulley helps tend the lanyard but does not replace the hitch or mechanical adjuster that holds your position.
