About ARS
ARS tools come out of the Japanese tradition of fine-edged, lightweight cutting tools. Their hand pruners are slim and quick, with blades that take and hold a very sharp edge, and they show up a lot in orchards, vineyards and landscape maintenance as well as in arborist kits.
Their pole pruners and pruning saws suit climbers and ground crews doing structural and detail pruning on smaller wood, where clean cuts matter more than brute force. Keep blades clean and lightly oiled, and replace worn blades rather than forcing a dull tool through a cut.
