About 4SRT
Single rope technique has changed how a lot of climbers get into the tree and move around once they are up there. Ascending on a stationary rope saves energy on tall trees, and a well set up system makes the switch between ascent and work positioning cleaner. 4SRT focuses on that side of climbing.
If you are moving from moving-rope work to SRT, take the time to learn the system on the ground first, check that every component is compatible with your rope diameter, and follow the manufacturer's instructions for setup. Any gear that holds a person must meet the applicable standard (ANSI Z133 and the manufacturer's instructions), be inspected before each use, and be used by trained climbers.
