The Squirrel Tether is a metal tether designed and manufactured by ISC for the Rope Wrench. Because of its aluminum frame, the Squirrel Tether ensures that twist and flex in the Rope Wrench system remains in the optimal low friction position during ascent, and engages efficiently during lateral movements and descents. A stopper bollard keeps the Rope Wrench correctly positioned at all times, and prevents pinching of the user's hand while tending.

The Squirrel Tether is the ONLY metal tether for the ISC Rope Wrench, designed and manufactured exclusively by ISC in Wales, United Kingdom! The Squirrel Tether is designed for low-friction ascents and optimal engagement of the Rope Wrench, as required during descent and lateral movements within the canopy.
The new Squirrel Tether is manufactured from Aluminium, which ensures that twist and flex in the Rope Wrench system, is minimal. This means that the Rope Wrench remains in the optimal low friction position during ascent, (allowing the climber to achieve maximum climb efficiency), and ensures that the Wrench engages efficiently, as required during lateral movements and descent.
The Squirrel is fitted with a stopper bollard, which keeps the Rope Wrench correctly positioned, to ensure correct engagement on the rope. The stopper bollard also prevents the Rope Wrench from pinching/squashing the user's hand. This means that the user can safely handle the upper or lower part of the tether, when tending/adjusting the system, on the rope.
The Squirrel can be used with an SRS Chest Harness, for hands-free tending of the system, while ascending. The Squirrel offers a choice of four SRS Chest Harness attachment points, allowing users to position their harness, according to the type of chest harness used- and to their personal preference.
The secondary aperture of the Squirrel Pulley provides an attachment point for the addition of a secondary system, which means that the Squirrel system can be used for rescues.
